The Stigma Trap
Lately, using AI has started to feel a little taboo.
People look down on it. The common criticism is that if you use AI, you aren’t being original, you’re taking a shortcut, or you aren’t using your brain.
That misses the point entirely. You are using your brain. You’re just using it at a much higher frequency. You take raw information, challenge it, ask better follow-up questions, and learn faster than someone trying to brute-force everything on their own. Being shy about using a tool that makes you sharper is absurd. I don’t care what people think. If something gives me a massive edge in life and work, I’m using it.
The Headspace Problem
Your brain really only does two things:
Holds information: Remembering facts, digging up old info, keeping track of chores, and looking things up.
Actually thinks: Solving problems, spotting patterns, making tough calls, and deciding what to do next.
Most people blow through 80% of their energy on the first bucket. They spend half their day Googling health symptoms, overthinking a confusing text message, or digging through recipe blogs.
It’s wasted effort. If you want a clear head, why not hand that grunt work off so you can save all your energy for real decisions?
